About Me

Avatar Dana Junghanß

I have been working as a freelance Digital Designer for over 10 years now. Amongst others I worked for the magazine "Stadtmagazin BLITZ!" and the university "Technische Universität Dresden". Since 2009 I also work in web agencies.

Education

I started my career as a webdesigner in 2004 with an internship at the artist agency "Künstleragentur Kade" which is active in the field of opera and classical music. With many portfolio website projects for the agency and artists I acquired knowledge in planning, conception, web design and web development. Afterwards I extended my skills in a two-year training as Design Assistant for Media and Communication at the academy "Akademie für Informations- und Kommunikations-Design" in Dresden.

During this training, I worked on further web and design projects. Among others I worked at the Dresden based advertising agency "Wolle Werbung" and the opera singer Jochen Kupfer.

From 2011 to 2015, I studied Media Economics and Media Management at the University of Applied Sciences "Diploma - FH Nordhessen" extra occupational. In the summer of 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with an overall grade of 1.6.

Professional career

In June 2009 my work took me to Offenbach am Main, near Frankfurt, to work as a web designer for "Polaris Media GmbH". Here I gained valuable experience in web development with WordPress, online marketing and search engine optimization. But the focus was on individual and professional layout development as well as UX design for websites, web applications and online shops.

After a good 4.5 years at Polaris Media GmbH, I changed, on request, to "1xInternet GmbH" in Frankfurt am Main. My main focus was frontend development with Drupal 7, where I was able to further develop my technical skills and deepen my knowledge of frontend development and version management with Git.

Since autumn 2015 I have been working for "BitFriends GmbH" in Winnweiler as a frontend developer and web designer. Here I got to know further systems and frameworks like the Oxid-Shop and the PHP-Framwork Symfony with their template languages Smarty and Twig.

Streaming

At the beginning of 2017 I started to stream my work live on "Twitch". Under the title "Let's Create", viewers can follow live exciting projects in graphic design, web design and web development, app and 3D design and other areas. A small online community of developers and other designers has been grown since then.

I currently have clients all over Germany, including Frankfurt am Main, Offenbach am Main, Leipzig and Dresden.

Ich habe Dana 2009 direkt nach meinem Design-Studium kennengelernt. Mit ihrer Hilfe habe ich damals den Sprung vom Print- ins Webdesign geschafft und bis Heute kann ich bei Fragen und Ideen auf sie bauen. Ich kann sie als loyale und innovative Kooperationspartnerin nur empfehlen.
